People always ask me "Chad, how did you get into beekeeping?"

I'm just as surprised as everyone else that I'm a beekeeper.

My brother in law and I were trying to figure out what to do with the half acre of grass in their front yard and I was scrolling through Instagram one day and saw a beekeeping video and was intrigued.

Brought it up to my brother in law and he was all for it. Did months and months of research before we got the bees and fast forward to today and now I have 5 hives.

How you can help

There are little things everyone can do to help the bees but the best one to do is plant food for bees. Planting flowers is the best way to help honey bees. Basically plant flowers that are native to your area and that will always help honey bees gather food. Bees will fly miles to forage.
